Control cabinets wired for the floor,
scored on every build.
WORKHRDFRIT, LLC is a computer systems design practice working out of our integration
workshop at 1337 E 750 N, Orem - 84097-5480, United States (US). We build the wiring, control logic,
sensing and data plumbing that sits between a production machine and the people who run it, so a line
behaves the same on a quiet Tuesday night as it does during a rush. Every engagement starts with the
playfield: what the machine touches, what the operator sees and every switch in between.
We treat an integrated system as a matrix of switches: every sensor, every actuator, every operator
input sits at a known intersection and every intersection has an owner. These are the six service
lines we run from the workshop, each staffed by engineers who spend time on the floor rather than
only in a drawing tool.
ALine control
Production Control Integration
We tie controllers, drives, safety relays and operator stations into one coherent control layer.
The result is a production line where start sequences, fault handling and changeover states follow
the same logic everywhere, from the panel on the floor to the office dashboard.
CProcess design
Workflow Automation Design
Before anyone writes code we map how work actually moves, including the exceptions nobody
documented. We then design automated sequences that match that reality, with clear manual
overrides where the floor needs a human decision.
DSensing
Sensor and Interlock Systems
Guard doors, light curtains, position sensors and pressure switches are only useful when their
signals are trusted. We specify, mount and validate interlock chains that stop a machine for the
right reasons and restart it only when it is safe.
FVerification
Test Bench Engineering
We build bench rigs that reproduce the machine signals before the machine exists. Panels are
proven against simulated loads, and every change gets a repeatable test so commissioning is a
short day rather than a long week.
GTelemetry
Data Collection Pipelines
Counts, cycle times, reject codes and sensor events are captured at the controller edge and moved
into storage you can query. No stalled spreadsheets, no guessing at shift performance.
KAftercare
Maintenance and Field Support
Systems drift after handover, so we stay reachable. Scheduled reviews, spare part lists, wiring
diagrams kept current and a phone line that answers during production hours keep the line scoring
season after season.
WORKHRDFRIT, LLC opens its winter integration calendar for new production floor work,
with survey visits booked in the order they arrive.
A workshop that thinks like a playfield
A playfield is a careful arrangement of rails, posts and switches, and every part has a job that
either sends the ball where it is meant to go or catches a mistake before it becomes expensive.
We design integrated systems the same way. The production control integration
layer is the rail that carries the line from start to finish. The
workflow automation design work decides where the path bends and what
happens when an operator calls a halt. The sensor and interlock systems are
the posts that keep people and equipment apart when a sequence runs faster than a hand can react.
Underneath those layers sit the habits that make a build survive its first year:
test bench engineering so panels are proven before they are installed,
data collection pipelines so decisions rest on measured events rather than
memory, and maintenance and field support so the whole arrangement keeps
answering years after commissioning.
Most of our work is unglamorous and precise. We label every conductor, keep the cabinet
documentation matching the cabinet, and refuse to bury a bypass switch where nobody will find it.
The goal is a machine that can be maintained by the crew already working the floor, not only by
the consultant who installed it.
Our clients range from small fabrication shops running a single cell to regional manufacturers with
several lines that must agree with one another. What they share is a need for integrated systems
that behave predictably under pressure. We are in Orem, we travel within the region, and we keep
the working documents in a place the client can reach after the invoice is paid.
Cabinet bay notes
What we build into every cabinet
Readable wiring
Conductors carry tags that match the drawing set, and terminal blocks are grouped by function.
A technician opening the door at two in the morning should not need a magnifier and a guess.
Honest interlocks
Safety devices are provisioned to stop energy, not just raise an alarm. We test each chain with a
deliberate fault and record the result in the handover file, with the test method written down.
Data at the edge
Counts and cycle events are buffered locally so a dropped network does not erase a shift. When the
link returns the pipeline catches up in order, with a timestamp that reflects when the event
actually happened.
Start with the playfield survey
We begin every project with a walk through the machine environment, a list of what the control
layer touches and a short report on risk. It costs a day and saves months.
